Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely ladies over at the Broke and the Bookish.
The topic this week is:
Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant to Get to but Didn't
Dumplin - I was SO SO excited for this book after all the rave reviews that I've heard. And then I never got around to picking it up. I'm still very excited to read this one though!
A Darker Shade of Magic - I love Victoria Schwab's books and I don't know why it always takes me awhile to get around to them. I want to savor this one this year as I love V's writing.
Carry On - Rainbow Rowell is a fave and this is the only book by her that I haven't read yet. I didn't end up getting around to reading it at the end of the year last year, but I definitely want to get to it this year, preferably early this year.
The Heart of Betrayal - The Kiss of Deception was one of my favorite reads of 2014. I still think about it! I really can't believe I didn't get around to The Heart of Betrayal yet. But I think I've been avoiding having to go through another devastating cliffhanger. I know I'll be finishing this one before the final book comes out.
The Orphan Queen - I've heard such great things about this book and I can't believe I didn't manage to get around to reading it last year, as it sounds right up my alley. I'm excited to read it soon!
Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard - I didn't get to this one because I'm not caught up on Percy or the Heros of Olympus. I thought I could get all caught up last year, but that's a little ambitious. With a whole year ahead of me, I think I definitely can this year!
The Rest of Us Just Live Here - I love the concept of this one! I also love everything of Ness's that I've read so far. I'm looking forward to reading this one!
The House - I'm so intrigued by this story. A haunting story with some type of romance? Sign me up! I've been wanting to read this one since it came out and just haven't been able to pick it up yet. It'll happen this year though!
Just Visiting - This one popped on my radar after all the rave reviews I've heard on it. I'm so excited to read this one and see what all the raving is about!
An Ember in the Ashes - I was so excited for this one after all the good things I've heard, but I think the hype got to me a little bit and I ended up putting it off. I'm still really interested in this one and hope to read it this year for sure!
Oh! How can I forget about Dumplin!? I need to read that too!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT! :D
I loved Dumplin' and ADSOM! Especially ADSOM. It will be perfect to read it before the second one comes out next month. :D
ReplyDeleteJust Visiting is on my list as well, my library finally ordered it. I haven't read any Dahlia Adler books yet, but people are always retweeting her on Twitter. I also still need to read Wolf by Wolf, A Madness So Discreet, and Golden Son.
Yes! I hope I can slip it in before the next one comes out!
DeleteHm, maybe we should buddy read Just Visiting?!
I'm excited to hear what you think about Wolf by Wolf and A Madness so Discreet. I should read Red Rising one of these times, but at this point, I might as well and just marathon the trilogy lol.
Great list! The first three books are part of my TTT as well! I forgot about An Ember in the Ashes though... I hope you will enjoy reading all of them!
ReplyDeleteI must read some Rick Riordan, for some reason I never got around to it... An Ember in the Ashes is also on my list! :D
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
I completely understand..I still haven't gotten around to finishing Percy Jackson, I have the last book to read, the LAST BOOK. It's ridiculous, lol. I just need to read it! I'm excited for An Ember in the Ashes, I hope we both enjoy it! :)
DeleteI still need to read The Kiss of Deception! I'm so nervous because the hype is HUGE but I plan to binge read the series this summer.
ReplyDeleteI thought Carry On was good! I hope you enjoy these book when you get around to them. :)
The hype is really big, and to be honest, I almost DNF'd in the beginning..but it's so worth pushing through. Maybe I'll hold off and read them all for series in a month, if I can restrain myself ;)
DeleteI'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed Carry On! I'm excited to read it, but sad to have no more Rainbow Rowell books to read for the first time. I hope she comes out with another one soon!!
