I miss reading.

Let's face it. We all have commitments. Distractions. Things to do other than read.

We all have...lives.

For me, lately I've barely had enough time to read...and I've been rather sad about it.

Reading is so much more than something I enjoy to do. It's a way to relax. A way to journey to a different world. A way to learn. A way of adventure. I find that when I go more than two days without reading, I start to feel myself go a little crazy.

Then, when I do get back to reading on a regular basis, sometimes it's hard to get back into the groove. I miss reading. BUT not being able to read is only short-term. I have to remind myself that my read will still be there waiting. In the meantime, I should embrace life, read what I can (even if it's only ten pages) and keep moving forward, one day at a time.

Am I the only one or do you ever miss reading when life happens and things get busy? What do you jump back into reading when life settles again--whatever you were currently reading or something new?

  1. I know exactly how you feel. I haven't completed a book since June. I have been away for a long stay at my long distance girlfriend's house, and as much as I love her I miss being able to read. I'm hoping I can pick back up in my books once I get back home.

    1. I'm glad I'm not alone in missing reading! It's so bittersweet, because it's nice to be spending time with loved ones, but at the same time, I just want to read! I hope you get back to reading and your books sooner rather than later :D
