Hi! This weekly meme is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. This weekly meme is to help gain blog followers and find new blogs to follow as well. This week's question is:
Have you ever broken up with a series? If so, which one and why?
Hmmm, I don't think that I have ever broken up with a series. I suppose it depends on what you mean by "breaking up". There are some series where after I read the first book and didn't like it so I don't continue in the series (such as the Wake trilogy by Lisa McMann). Thus far, I haven't stopped or "broken up" with a series after reading a second book and I hope it stays that way. :)
Good for you! I don't do it often either because I'm a bit of a completionist. :D Following via GFC and Bloglovin'. Happy Friday!

I don't do it...I like to complete a series, I tried to at least read what is about to begin, if I liked I read it so I don't feel heartbroken.. fo far I love it what I read.. But The wait for the next book is sooo looong.....but is worth it :)

I didn't like the Wake series either. I read the first book and did NOT continue. The plot was just too out there!!!

I haven’t heard of any The Wake Trilogy. Sorry to hear you lost interest along the way.

Happy Reading! :)
I have broken up with a few series, but it is indeed more often that you just stop after the first book:) Old follower.

Yes. I broke up with the SHIVER series. I absolutely could not do it anymore. I tried LINGER, and it was better, but I just couldn't deal with those books! Great post today!

I kept getting recs for the Wake series, but after the hype died down some real criticism started to come out of the woodwork. Glad I passed on it.

I'm like you too, I don't really breakup with series' once I've read more than one book in the series, but if I don't like the first book I don't continue with the series :D
