Hi! Today I am going on a little roadtrip to Chicago for the YA Lit Blogger's Summit, which is part of the ALA conference. I am so excited to meet some fellow bloggers and to be going to a place that's essentially centered around books! I thought that I would share the books that I am bringing to read in the car on the way to Chicago, it's about a 8 hour drive. I always over pack books whenever I go on a trip - it's like outfits, you never know what you want to read next or if you'll read them all and be stuck with out a book (AH, that would be the worst). Onto the books...
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. My friend has highly recommended this book and I've been wanting to pick it up. Some sci-fi on a roadtrip sounds pretty good to me!
Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson. I recently read Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson and I loved it so I wanted to read another one of hers. This one is about a roadtrip, so why not read about a roadtrip while you're on a roadtrip?
I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. I've been really wanting to read this book. It sounds like the perfect summer read, so why not take it and read it on a summer road trip.
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger. I've been waiting to get this one from the library and it just came in today so it had to come with me on the trip! This book looks so good and I thought it would add a nice variety to my little pile coming with.
I hope I'll get to read all these books or most of them at least. I still have to finish reading The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I'm almost done with it, so that one is coming on the trip but I anticipate finishing that one up early on. Then I have a nice variety of books to choose from to read next - though I know I will for sure be reading Obsidian. So excited! Okay, I'm off to pack! Hope to see you at the summit!
I'm so jealous of people who can read in the car. I feel like it's so much missed reading time for me, but I'll get sick if I try to. Haha.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I really hope you like Amy and Roger. I loved it. And Etiquette & Espionage was alright, though a little difficult for me to finish. I've been hearing great things about Obsidian as well. And I've Got Your Number, actually. I hope you like them all!
I have read Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout! You will love it! I wish I was able to read and drive but alas I get car sick when I do!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to be going to something like that!
Have fun! Can't wait to hear about when you blog next!
I'm excited for you!!! I'm sorry I won't be able to see you. :(
